There are some stats in this article on bicycle commuting in the outlying Philadelphia suburbs including Camden County where our property at 45 South Centre Street is located in Merchantville two short blocks from the bike path. When this bike path is extended through Camden to the Ben Franklin Bridge you will be able to ride your bike from here to City Hall, Philadelphia in less than 6 miles.

Bella Vita Cafe opens, as does the Bridges
The Bella Vita Cafe at 43 South Centre Street in Merchantville is open, and serving delicious food, regional italian dishes as well as excellent pizza shop fare, open for lunch and dinner. Give it a try. Check them out on FaceBook.
And the two local roadway bridges at Chapel Avenue and at Maple Avenue which have been closed for a year and a half are now back open. Town is flooded with traffic,...
Bella Vita Italian Bistro set to open in July
Sals Pizza on Centre Street has been reborn/reinvented as the Bella Vita Cafe. Interesing and authentic italian fare has been promised. The new owners Carlo and Linda appear to be pouring their hearts into it. I know I can’t wait for a new food venue! Drop in and give them a try.
Farmers Market now twice monthly, next 17July
The farmers market has been such a hit that the vendors have convinced the organizers to hold it twice monthly. The next Friday night Farmers Market will be 17 July and again at 4-8pm. Come on down for some fresh produce, baked goods, flowers and plants. More info at www.downtownmerchantville.com

Commercial investment in Merchantville
The former Philadelphia Fruit Market, Merchantville’s great little grocery store + butcher, is under new ownership, and the property is receiving a complete rehab. Fantastic, and we love seeing the investment and confidence in this great business district.

Philadelphia Bicycle News: Energy Efficiency Block... →
These grants can be used for transportation projects that reduce energy use and emissions: bicycle and pedestrian projects are eligible including the bike path network proposed for Camden County that passes directly through Merchantville two blocks from our building at 45 S. Centre. Work here, bike to work.
LamiDesign storefront entered into CoStar Database
Today we added our storefront property at 45 South Centre Street in Merchantville to the CoStar Commercial Real Estate database. This is a service provided to commercial real estate agencies. CoStar is constantly adding commercial properties to their database to increase the reach of their subscribers.
Next First Friday event: March 6th
The business owners have organized the next First Friday event for March 6th. There is also planning underway for a Farmer’s Market adjacent to our downtown business district to run in the spring, summer and fall. If you know any local farmers or organic growers let us know! More info to follow as it develops.

No Formal First Friday in January
However several of the regular participants will be staying open with extended First Friday hours all the same - 2Jan09 6-9pm. All this really means is no band/public music this weekend, so come out and get a feel for the downtown. Another promotional ad for the Courier Post is being planned by the participating merchants.
